CGCC and Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Capacity Building Programme Against Terrorism (ICPAT) organized this training seminar on extradition and mutual legal assistance (MLA) in the IGAD region. Participants included law enforcement officials, prosecutors, and judges from Djibouti. The meeting was facilitated by CGCC, ICPAT, the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate, and LALIVE law firm. It was the last seminar in a series of training workshops designed to raise awareness of the recently adopted IGAD MLA and extradition conventions and to foster the cross-border contacts and technical knowledge of the conventions necessary for their effective use.
