As part of its Countering Violent Extremism in Prisons (CVE-P) Program, the Global Center and the National Training Academy of the Moroccan prison service (known by the acronym DGAPR) co-organized an introductory workshop on international standards in forensic psychology for all psychologists working across the Moroccan prisons. The objective of the workshop was to raise awareness and understanding among all psychologists employed by the Moroccan prison service of the latest available international standards of good practice in the assessment and treatment of prisoners, including violent extremist offenders. The workshop was designed to enable practitioners to situate, compare and contrast domestic practice with international standards, and help these practitioners identify how they might further develop their practice in line with available guidance.
