The Global Center works to build stronger partnerships among intergovernmental organizations, civil society, and national institutions to address transnational threats and underlying sources of insecurity through collaborative, multidisciplinary research and policy analysis and implementation. The Global Center has played a significant role in the evolution of global counterterrorism cooperation over the last half decade, in particular as a leading independent voice for strengthening and enhancing the effectiveness of the UN counterterrorism program. The Global Center has played an active role in supporting the establishment of the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) in 2011 and continues to contribute to GCTF efforts to improve the delivery of capacity development assistance around the world. Through its current and future activities, the Global Center will continue to promote more-effective and -cooperative approaches to address transnational security challenges at international, regional, and national levels.
